sold through Edgewater’s new venue, Edgewater Gallery on the Green

Wandering around the Jersey Shore last year, I found
some fishing shacks that had been battered by Hurricane
Sandy. I did a quick pencil study, but the green heads
were so fierce I couldn’t set foot out of my car to set up
my easel. I had to use a lot of color memory to get back
to that day in my mind.

I love the light that peeks through the pilings, and the sense
that the building is lifting its skirt to show a little ankle.
