For more than 20 years I have passed this iconic little home
on Elm Street in Pittsford on my daily walk. The single door and window
seem to say “this is enough.”

I had recently read a quote from Agnes Martin, and it resonated
as I painted this painting:

Humility, the beautiful daughter
She cannot do either right or wrong
She does not do anything
All of her ways are empty
Infinitely light and delicate
She treads an even path
Sweet, smiling, uninterrupted, free

This painting is available as part of a set of beautifully printed notecards
