‘mountain solid, water reflecting, space free’

I was so struck by this phrase when listening to a talk by
Thich Nhat Hanh on mindfulness, and when I spent time
at Lake George last summer, I sketched the water at several
times of the day. I wanted to capture visually the experience
I’ve had when my busy mind calms down and I feel connected
and at peace.
