I’ve lost the name of the owner of this painting,
which makes me sad. This lovely building used to
be the general store in Hulett’s Landing, Lake George,
New York. I was so struck by the part of the building
that you could see under — it was a house on stilts,
or maybe crutches. And the sunlight was dazzling.
