I listened to Jane Eyre while painting
Attachment, and I was amazed at how
much more beautiful I found the book
when I came back to it this time. I used
to chafe at what I thought was sanctimony
but now I saw a gratitude and kindness
that made the harshness of life softened
and beautiful.
