Come What May

I wait all year for vacation at a cottage on Lake George,
and each summer my husband and I sneak through
the skinny little space between Harbor Islands near
Huletts Landing. The cut is only about 10 feet wide
and the two islands feel like puzzle pieces that are
waiting to fit back together. I sketched a quick study
from memory once we got back to land and followed
up with this larger painting.. The space between beckons me.
